How long do mattresses usually last?
Some types of mattresses are better than others when it comes to lasting a long time before they need to be replaced. Memory foam or hybrid mattress can last up to 10 years before you start having discomfort issues. However, for more traditional innerspring mattresses, you’ll definitely want to consider a replacement by at least year eight.
How often should your mattress be replaced?
Experts say that you should replace your mattress every six to eight years to get the most comfortable sleep each night. You spend one-third of your life sleeping! So it’s worth it to regularly upgrade something you spend so much time on. For that reason, it’s a good idea to have several options and make sure you try each one for yourself before you choose which one to buy.
How do I clean my mattress cover?
If your mattress cover has gotten torn, you should try spot cleaning it with a mild household fabric or upholstery cleaner.
Make sure that you are cleaning the cover on a flat surface. If you find that the cleaner causes any damage to the fabric, it will have to be replaced.
